Jessica Therrien has her debut novel coming out soon, called ‘Oppression’, first in a series.
The topic of the book is a girl who discovers her destiny is deeply intertwined with the fate of the future, so for the virtual launch party I am going to write a post about fate, destiny and whether I believe things happen for a reason.
I do believe things happen for a reason, but not in some man-in-the-sky-is-pulling-the-strings-on-his-puppets-which-are-us sort of thing.
I believe that everyone, even right after they are born, their destiny/fate is planned, and they can’t do much to change it- for example, if something decides that this baby must become an actor, and then it writes books, the books will become out of print really fast, and the baby will be forced to accept an actor job to pay bills- if this makes sense.
I’ll go ahead and summarize this up and just say that I do believe things happen for a reason, and that fate and destiny truly are real- although we have choices, we have very limited choices, and, even though I said earlier we aren’t, we’re pretty much puppets on fate and destiny’s strings.
I apologize if this doesn’t really make sense, and I’m just rambling, but this is my opinion, and even though it’s rather hard to put into words, I had to try.
I apologize if this isn’t any good, but if you want to read some good writing though, go ahead and order ‘Oppression’ here! http://www.amazon.com/Oppression-Jessica-Therrien/dp/0984035044/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1329507173&sr=8-1-spell
Oh, and I have an e-book copy of ‘Oppression’ so look forward to my review- I’m really enjoying ‘Oppression’ so far, so I’m sure it will be good! (:
