Summary: Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that
has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her
final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named
Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is
about to be completely rewritten.
Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our
Stars is award-winning author John Green’s most ambitious and heartbreaking
work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of
being alive and in love.
My Review:
This book… wow… it’s been on my wishlist since it came out,
and my only regret is not getting a first printing copy, because all of those
were signed.
This book leaves you wanting to scream and cry, and it
actually did make me cry, the first book that ever did, because books usually
don’t get to me.
I sent my mom about twenty texts while I was reading this,
all angry at the author, so I waited about two weeks to write my review because
if I wrote it that night I would be all sad and upset and I couldn’t appreciate
the good qualities.
I LOVED this book. I LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED it. It was
hilarious. My favorite quote is ‘ma’am, your daughter’s car has just been
deservedly egged by a blind man. Please close the door and go back inside or
we’ll be forced to call the police.’ But, there are so many other quotes that
are just as amazing!
It’s a hilarious, heart-breaking read, and you won’t regret
reading it- it’s going on my list of top ten favorites!
