In honor of the upcoming Halloween, i'm putting up my list of top ten Halloween books! (shh.. don't tell anyone, but I cheated a bit by using Goodreads for help as I couldn't think of many :3)
- GOOSEBUMPS. Even though these are middle grade, they're still great Halloween books, and they still do slightly scare me(especially that dummy one, haha!)
- The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury (middle gradeish again, sorry!)
- Scary Stories to Tell In The Dark(do any of you guys have these? I have like two copies of each book + a big hardcover :D these stories are pretty good!)
- The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes. My mom has a huge love of literature, and we read this every Halloween! It's more of a poem, but yeah. :3
YAY! I love that so many people are putting Goosebumps on the list this week :-)
ReplyDeleteI will have to read Scary Stories to Tell in The Dark. I remember i always wanted to read them.
Thanks for a great Top Four :-)

I know! They're great 'scary' books and television shows for little kids! (:
DeleteThey're pretty awesome, some of them still scare me. xD
I'll be sure to check out your blog. :)
The Goosbumps series is super fun. I read them when I was younger and the books always freaked me out. :)
ReplyDeleteJ'adore Happy Endings
Same here, I actually read the entire series when I was little(well, at least the original ones, not the Goosebumps 2000 or anything :3) and yeah, they were pretty creepy when I was little- even thought they sure aren't anymore! xD
DeleteI'll be sure to check out your blog!
I remember Goosebumps being pretty scary in places, as a kid - my brother loved them, so we had quite a few on our bookshelf. Great list!
ReplyDeleteFor me, it was my older sister. She was a HUGE scary book fan, so we owned pretty much all of the ones. :D Thank you!

Thanks! (: I will! (:
DeleteI LOVE The Highwayman! My copy is from Childcraft, so it's in with a bunch of other neat little children's literature type poems. But The Highwayman has been my favorite poems for ages, since I read it when I was around 10 or so.
ReplyDeleteOoh, that is for sure my favorite on this list. :D It's such a cool poem! It's creepy though! :D
DeleteThanks for your comment! (:
