Top Ten Books To Get In The Halloween Spirit

Posted by Emily at Tuesday, October 23, 2012
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish (:

In honor of the upcoming Halloween, i'm putting up my list of top ten Halloween books! (shh.. don't tell anyone, but I cheated a bit by using Goodreads for help as I couldn't think of many :3)

  1. GOOSEBUMPS. Even though these are middle grade, they're still great Halloween books, and they still do slightly scare me(especially that dummy one, haha!)
  2. The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury (middle gradeish again, sorry!)
  3. Scary Stories to Tell In The Dark(do any of you guys have these? I have like two copies of each book + a big hardcover :D these stories are pretty good!)
  4. The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes. My mom has a huge love of literature, and we read this every Halloween! It's more of a poem, but yeah. :3
Annddddd... that's it. I'm sorry. :o I only managed 4/10, but I highly recommend them. ^-^ Leave links/comments with yours down below! (:

    1. Same here, I actually read the entire series when I was little(well, at least the original ones, not the Goosebumps 2000 or anything :3) and yeah, they were pretty creepy when I was little- even thought they sure aren't anymore! xD

I'll be sure to check out your blog!

  3. I remember Goosebumps being pretty scary in places, as a kid - my brother loved them, so we had quite a few on our bookshelf. Great list!

  7. I LOVE The Highwayman! My copy is from Childcraft, so it's in with a bunch of other neat little children's literature type poems. But The Highwayman has been my favorite poems for ages, since I read it when I was around 10 or so.
