Direct your attention to that beautiful cover on the left please, folks, isn't it lovelytastical? I just adore covers like that, and I love the colors used for the text and o- *clears throat* well, this is not a post to obsess over the cover(I might need to post one of those, though...) this is a post about the #OBXers, a team of people to help promote this book pictured to the left - i'm one of them!
You should join!
Why, you ask?
Firstly, swag. I mean, who doesn't like swag?!?!? There's a point system the author uses, and for certain things you do you get a certain amount of points, and you can redeem those points for levels of swag - including shirts, bookmarks, and tons of other goodies!
Secondly, you get to help promote an awesome book!
Are you nodding thoughtfully about this opportunity, thinking about how good it sounds?
Go check out the author's page about it, she'll convince you to join, if the mention of awesome swag & that awesome cover hasn't already! http://www.jenniferiacopelli.com/p/the-obxers.html

Yes - sympathize with many of your peeves; if agents or authors are sending in their work to be reviewed, they should first make certain that the reviewer actually enjoys reading their genre. As for dictating whether or not a review should be published, well - it kind of says a lot about the agents/authors' faith in their own work doesn't it?
