Firstly, swag. I mean, who doesn't like swag?!?!? There's a point system the author uses, and for certain things you do you get a certain amount of points, and you can redeem those points for levels of swag - including shirts, bookmarks, and tons of other goodies!

Yes - sympathize with many of your peeves; if agents or authors are sending in their work to be reviewed, they should first make certain that the reviewer actually enjoys reading their genre. As for dictating whether or not a review should be published, well - it kind of says a lot about the agents/authors' faith in their own work doesn't it?
